First Shoots runs filmmaking activities with young people in London. Our aim is to help young people find their voice through film and digital media, giving them the skills and ability to express themselves creatively.

We have currently been running a long term project funded by the British Council to work with schools and youth groups in Lambeth, facilitating groups of children and teenagers to make short films.

This project is now coming to an end and on the 24th November we will be screening all the films that have been made through this project at the BFI Southbank. More information about this can be found below.

If you’d like to get in touch to talk about collaborating or if you would like to book a workshop with us please drop us a line at info@firstshoots.co.uk.

Film Screening at the BFI

We recently screened all our films from this year’s project in Lambeth at the BFI Southbank and received an excellent reception.

As well as screening First Shoots films we also screened films from Boo Hiss Workshops, Stories, Sawston Village College and Youth Animation and Media.

We would like to thank everyone for coming and shout out a big Well Done to all the filmmakers involved!

We will be having more filmmaking activities on offer for you next year so please watch this space.
